Inspirational Cancer

The Inspiration

Someone once said, "After the caterpillar thought that its life was over it became a butterfly." This was the inspiration for my wife, who suffered from cancer herself, to paint this piece of art seen with a teal colored cocoon that she entered into a cancer-related competition.

After her passing I used her painting as an inspiration for new digital art but this time the color of the butterflies represents the different types of cancer. Although there are other types of cancers that are still unrepresented, I hope to add their own butterfly inspirational artwork soon. My intentions are to donate 10% of the net profits of this special cancer digital art series to different cancer organizations along with the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
